Nick joins ALA, with over 30 years IT experience. Nick is a highly experienced senior executive with a proven track record in delivering business change. He has spent the last six years focusing on managing company start-ups, turnarounds and high growth businesses in the technology sector. Nick`s career includes a number of senior management roles in the software, logistics, IT reseller and managed services sectors.

Prior to co-founding ALA Ltd, Nick founded SEZ Solutions Ltd, an IT business transformation company, some 5 years ago. The company was profitable from day one and continues to trade successfully today.

Nick’s last transformation role was as VP Service and Solutions for the Systemax EMEA Technology Group. Nick worked with Systemax with the specific objective of growing the services revenue and introducing solutions-based business across EMEA. As a direct result, the company saw service revenue doubling over a two and a half year period, and solutions businesses being acquired in Holland and relocated to the UK.

As CEO, Pim leads the strategic direction of the business and manages the leadership team.

Pim is a respected IT industry leader who has a long history of helping companies maximise their overall business objectives. He has developed and driven global IT businesses to continued success through a combination of perceptive innovation, vertical expansion and talent development.

Over the years, Pim has worked with some of the largest and most respected brands across the industry. Most recently he was CEO at Systemax (EMEA) and previously held a number of senior management roles at Dell Corporation. His earlier career includes Sun Microsystems, Siemens Nixdorf and Hewlett Packard. He also acts as a non executive Director for a number of IT firms.

As a serial strategist, Pim likes to challenge the IT industry ‘status quo’. He is dedicated to developing strategies that achieve break through, `best in industry` innovation for global industries.

Pim holds a Degree in Chemistry and an MBA.

Tilman joins ALA as CIO leading the development of the financial analytics products and managing the strategic direction of the research team.

He obtained his MSc and PhD in Financial Mathematics from the University of Kaiserslautern, Germany.

Since then he has worked as a researcher and consultant for the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Mathematics ITWM and for OptiRisk Systems.

Recent projects include the development of a risk management software for UCITS and the enhancement of mathematical algorithms and models for trading and portfolio optimisation.

Toby has over twenty years’ experience of selling information solutions into financial and corporate businesses. Originally cutting his teeth selling Insurance Rating data into The City, he then moved into financial news. Formerly the Head of Account Management for EMEA-AP at Thomson (Business Information Services), he has experience working with T1 Banks, Stock Exchanges, Pharmaceutical & Petro Chem companies as well as government organisations.

From Thomson he moved to Acquire Media where he was Managing Director for nearly a decade, delivering real-time news solutions to some of the world's biggest companies.

Mike has had over 30 years’ experience in the IT related industry firstly with Wang Laboratories and then Getronics. After becoming Commercial Manager dealing with Contracts Management he became responsible for the Partnership portfolio which included Cisco, Microsoft, Dell and HP, successfully gaining then retaining Cisco Gold Partnership status on an annual basis.

During his time in the IT industry, his mantra has been ‘Customer is King’, this philosophy has stood in in good stead and ensured his projects are delivered on time to budget and with high levels of customer service.

Qualified in ITIL Service Desk Management, Prince 2 Project Management and Six Sigma, then moved on to Systemax Misco as Programme and Project Manager to drive the transition into Cisco Gold Partnership and the successful take on and building of a Service Desk function in the UK.

Andrew joined the ALA team from the Zayo Group, a global provider of communications infrastructure, where he held the position of account director supporting diverse groups of enterprise customers across a wide variety of industries, including financial services, content and education.

Prior to this, Andrew held senior sales roles at Claranet and Easynet. Andrew brings an in-depth knowledge of the IT industry and a deep understanding of the issues facing financial institutions. He is dedicated to forging long lasting partnerships with customers whilst also delivering value and ensuring that they are supported with the highest levels of customer service.

Tina has 20+ years’ experience in press relations, marketing, brand management, and communications for the fin-tech, financial services, compliance, data and systems solutions industries. She has worked with both start-up and blue chip companies, including Icap, Tullett Prebon Yamane, Reuters, Arachnys, Oracle and IBM. She managed the global marketing team efforts of the real-time news and pricing analytics arm of Knight Ridder, Inc., the second-largest newspaper company in the United States. She has also worked with the Home Office, managing press relations strategy and the direct communications with government ministers. As well as attending home office meetings with various ministers, Tina conducted interviews with the broadsheets, local press and broadcast press. Recently, Tina was instrumental in securing `Best Compliance product’ awarded by Waters Technology, part of Incisive Risk Information, on behalf of Counterparty Link (now owned by DTCC).She holds a degree in marketing, having trained as a Chartered Institute of Marketing professional. She studied English with The University of Cambridge and is a member of the National Union of Journalists.

Geoff joins ALA from from the Misco Group where his main objective was to increase the company’s solutions-based business. Geoff was key in helping grow the Cisco-related revenues throughout the UK during his tenure at Misco, leading to Misco being awarded Cisco’s Gold partner status.

Geoff spent his first 10 years in the IT sales arena in South Africa working for the QData group. Later, having relocated to the UK he worked for Getronics in a Cisco account director role looking after many major accounts including CSC. He has extensive experience in most sectors, in particular, the financial services sector.

Geoff believes in thorough account management and has always believed that customer care and retention is key to a company’s survival.

A serial entrepreneur, Emilio has ventured into financial markets data and technology businesses at various stages of their growth. Currently, he is Managing Director of TFG Italia Srl, an active business advisor and angel investor. Beginning his career at Radiocor Telerate (a real-time economic news agency) in Milan in 1989, Emilio has led a distinguished career and has been instrumental in the growth of the some of the most successful financial data providers. Formerly, Emilio was CEO Telerate, Milan; Managing Director, Milan at Interactive Data Inc.; Managing Director Southern Europe & Middle East, Bridge Information Systems, where he was responsible for 7 countries, 12 offices, 150 staff and lead the generation of US$55 million turnover, before becoming global deputy Managing Director. Bridge went on to become the second largest financial data provider in the world with US$ 1,2 billion turnover and over 5000 employees before being acquired by MoneyLine Telerate. He attended Bocconi University in Milan where he earned his degree in Economics and Commercial studies. He also holds a Bsc. in Polymer Engineering from South Bank Polytechnic in London. He is of Italian heritage and speaks English, French and Spanish.

Giovanni is a Finance and Operations Executive with over 20 years’ international experience as CFO of Global multibillion dollar Divisions and Corporate Finance Functions of fast paced and leading Corporations like Cisco Systems, Dell, Computer Science Corporation and Alcatel-Lucent. Giovanni’s experience also spans advising Start Ups embracing digital transformation of traditional business models and customer solutions across different industries. He is an execution and results oriented leader with a proven track record of driving long term sustainable growth, producing turnarounds, implementing investment/divestiture and building global organisations in highly diversified businesses and cultural environments. He has operated at the heart of turning strategies into operational results by leading through product, sales, channels, operational, financial and organisational transitions in industries like Telecommunication, Internet-Networking, Information Technology and Business Process Outsourcing. Giovanni holds a degree in Business Administration & Economics from University of Salerno in Italy. Throughout his career he has worked in Switzerland, France, US and the UK.
